Christos Vlioras and Penelope Gatsa, jointly exhibit unique sculptural forms made of clay. Teacher and student, student and teacher, co-star in an interesting presentation. Vlioras, a well-known ceramist, creates geometric forms with clarity and solidity. Gatsa, on the other hand, a well-known artist and student of Vlioras, uses clay in a more light and dance-like way.

Penelope Gatsa

Penelope Gatsa was born in 1966 in Athens. She studied graphic design at the studio of Lymberis Publications with teachers Sparta Linardakis and Patrick Tatopoulos. She then took two courses at LCP (London College of Printing), in industrial design and packaging. She worked for over 20 years in well-known Athenian magazines as a graphic designer, photo editor and columnist on design issues. At the same time, from 1995 to 2006, she worked with iron, creating oversized illuminated sculptures. In 2001, she founded the company Euphoria design with her collaborator photographer Ioanna Nikolaizi and together they create lighting and utilitarian objects. From 2008 to the present, she creates collage paintings with mixed media. She has held 17 solo exhibitions and has participated in 12 group exhibitions.
