What are the great discoveries of psychoanalysis about love and romance? What is hidden behind the choice of sexual partners? How is the symptom of infidelity explained, psychoanalytically? How has modern times touched the field of love and sexuality? Is it possible for a passionate love to stand the test of time? The speech focuses on answers to the above questions but also on many others through the prism of psychoanalysis.

Iro Zoumpoulou is a psychoanalyst with a Lacanian orientation. She is a graduate of the Department of Social Administration with a specialization in Social Work of the DUTH, as well as a master’s degree in Psychoanalysis from Kingston University, London, to which she was accepted with a scholarship. In the past she has worked, among others, at OKANA (Organization Against Drugs) and the City & Guilds of London Art School. She has many years of clinical experience with many patients and works privately as a psychoanalyst. At the same time, she gives speeches in Greece and abroad to promote psychoanalysis to the general public and writes articles in print and electronic media. [Biography updated on: 24/2/2023]
