The voice of Maria Papanastasiou starred in different kinds of songs from the world, crossing time and changing according to the way of interpretation and performance. The vocal wandering takes place in classical, jazz, traditional, folk and modern singing driven by the message and the sound of the voice. Through the voice and the song we find stories about love, love, man, earth, superior self, past and future, expressing desires, wrong, right, joy, and making its distinctive course of life.

Maria Papanastasiou was born in Athens on 2/2/1988, having an origin from Fthiotida and Asia Minor. From very little she discovered her Inclination to singing. She began classical music lessons at the age of 15 with Klaudia Delmer at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, which she interrupted to study at the Sound and Musical Instruments Department in Lixouri, Kefalonia. She later perfected her studies in modern singing with Elli Paspala. In recent years she has dealt with the classic song by searching for the power of her voice with Dinah Stiringer and Myrsini Margariti. From 2014, she made live performances in musical scenes and cafes in Athens with the band Band Trip Quartet, and participated in the modern opera of Mania Vlachogianni, “The Desert Star – Nalimar”. She knows English and Italian, she listens to different kinds of music, she loves literature, poetry, cinema and travel. [Biography updated on: 26/1/2018]
