Maria Mitzali | Countryside

Ten color large photographs fill up the space giving the sense of mnemonic fragments from the photographers trips to the Greek countryside.

Apart from the seas, the remaining images are from Nestos delta at different seasons. All the places are favorite. I did not capture things as being better or worse from what they are. I recorded what I wanted to remember.

Maria Mitzali was born in Athens in 1976 and studied fine arts at Middlesex University in London. She has made solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. She lives in Athens and her main work deals with photography and video installation. [Biography updated on: 1/9/2012]
