The Dark Impulse Trio | Jazz Trio

The Dark Impulse Trio is a group created in late 2014 by Apostolis Kyriakos on the electric guitar, Thanos Becca on electric bass and Spiros Oikonomopoulos on drums. The group’s music relates to the wider spectrum of jazz, the blues, the bebop and hard bop, the modal and Latin jazz and any of their extensions, whose main purpose is the expression through improvisation and the communication between the three musicians respecting the tradition and the roots of jazz music while also observing the contemporary events of this music scene. The group has already remixed material of some of the greatest composers and jazz musicians like: Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Joe Henderson, Steve Swallow, Thad Jones, Wayne Shorter and has also begun to work on their own compositions....more
